This 1996 CD represents Tom's first recordings in Nashville (which he was subsequently to make his home for several years), and his most international effort to date: besides Nashville, tracks were recorded in London, Berlin, and Mecklinburg-Vorpommern, Germany. It features a number of straight-ahead rockers ("Gambled on your Love," "Below the Surface"), as well as one of Tom's very best ballads, "Somebody Else."

Singer-songwriter Tom Cunningham divides his time between Nashville and Europe. He grew up in Massachussetts, but has lived in Berlin, Germany, since the 70's, with a list of solid achievements there to his credit: 6 solo albums, dozens of chart successes as a songwriter, and a gold album as a producer for his work with the East German band "City".

Tom admits to having caught "the Nashville songwriting bug" durung his sojourn in Music City, and has also recorded two albums there: 1999's "...a little time," an "Americana"-tinged live-in-the-studio effort with some of Nashville's top "pickers," and "Denn Du Bist da," (2000) Tom's first album written and sung entirely in the German language.

In addition to his concerts as a solo artist and with his band, Tom began hosting a singer-songwriter live showcase in Germany, Songwriters-in-the-Round, over four years ago. In this time the show has expanded from the original Berlin venues to Munich and Hamburg, Germany as well as several other cities and towns as Songwriters-in-the-Round-on-Tour. The show has delighted audiences and given countless singer-songwriters, both "old pros" and newcomers, the encouragement of an excellent performance forum. The Berliner Morgenpost newspaper credits Tom Cunningham with "reinvigorating the nearly moribund Berlin songwriting scene."

And you can catch him solo or with band in concert at festivals and in clubs in Europe as well as in the USA (gigs are listed on www.tom-cunningham.com).
